Basketball Season Tickets
The GCU men's basketball team's second season in NCAA Division I was full of excitement! The Lopes tied for second in regular season conference play in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The 2015-16 season promises to be even more exciting. With Head Coach and former Phoenix Suns star Dan Majerle back at the helm, the Lopes are looking to make their third season in Division I even more successful! Be among the first to get all of the information about discounted season tickets.
Fill out a form to be placed on the waitlist for 2015-16 basketball season tickets. If you held season tickets for the 2014-15 season, you will be contacted by GCU Arena Box Office to renew your tickets once available. Alumni receive a 20 percent discount on season tickets!
The Office of Alumni Relations throws a family-friendly tailgate on Game Day for our men's basketball home games. Come out, support your Lopes and enjoy a free barbeque with your guests outside GCU Arena. For more information about our tailgates, contact us at 602-639-6415.
We are seeking volunteers to help run this season's alumni tailgates. Volunteers are essential to hosting a successful tailgate and assist with activities including guest check-in, guest services and event tear down.
Time Commitment: 5 - 7 pm (tip off at 7 pm)
Responsibilities: Assist with guest services, check-in and event tear down
Benefits: Volunteers receive a free alumni volunteer T-shirt, meal before game and complimentary game tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hall of Fame
The Alumni Hall of Fame celebrates and honors the accomplishments of our most distinguished graduates. These individuals exemplify the spirit of GCU and have made significant contributions to the university and as humanitarians to our society. Feel their inspiration as you take the next step in your life after GCU.
- Have graduated from GCU a minimum of five years prior to nomination
- Have lived a life reflecting the GCU spirit and Christian ideals taught by the university
- Have distinguished themselves in their chosen professional field of endeavor Reflect honor to the college in pursuing personal or professional activities
- Have contributed to the college in outstanding ways or made significant humanitarian contributions to the community or beyond
The Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves since graduation and exemplify the GCU spirit. Nominations for the 2016 Alumni Hall of Fame must be submitted by Nov. 1, 2015. You can nominate yourself or another GCU graduate, but your nominee must meet the Alumni Hall of Fame criteria in order to be considered.
Homecoming is a day packed with fun events and activities, offering you a glimpse of campus life and a chance to reconnect with fellow classmates. Homecoming 2016 is set for Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20. Mark your calendars and get ready for a memorable weekend packed with family-friendly events!

Baby Lope Photo Contest

GCU alumni chapters are created in specific geographic areas by alumni who want to share their GCU pride and get to know other GCU graduates. With more than 90,000 alumni in our network, the GCU community is growing rapidly. Explore our current chapters and fill out an inquiry form if you are interested in joining an alumni chapter or starting a chapter in your area.
There are alumni chapters in several cities across the country, with more starting every year. Chapter meetings are a chance for alumni from all majors to get together, socialize, relax and network. Some chapters have hosted game-watching parties, while others have attended Major League Baseball games as a group. Others have taken the opportunity to give back by participating in community service projects.
The Phoenix Lopes Alumni Chapter engages and connects the university community locally, nationally and around the globe in support of GCU's mission. Our goal is to help alumni create sustainable, lifelong connections to the university and to each other. The Phoenix Lopes are alumni finding their purpose and achieving their full potential by integrating their Christian worldview into everything they do.

Lance Rao graduated from GCU with his Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2014. Lance is a highly motivated young professional who is passionate about connecting Phoenix Lopes and creating sustainable, lifelong connections. The Houston Lopes Alumni Chapter helps leverage the strength of the growing GCU network in the Houston area. Our goal is to create a community that represents the GCU spirit through social activities, community outreach projects and networking events. Houston Lopes benefit from an active social network and participate in volunteer projects, social mixers and GCU game-watching parties.

Chapter Co-President: Bart Fields
Bart Fields graduated from GCU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Finance in 1997 and has been a passionate Lope ever since! Bart is the Houston Lopes Alumni Chapter co-president and could not be more excited about connecting Houston Lopes and helping create a GCU community in the Houston area.
Chapter Co-President: Dr. Demetress Price Wright
Dr. Demetress Price Wright graduated from GCU in 2006 with a Master of Education in Educational Administration. Dr. Price Wright is grateful for the experiences and education she received from GCU and wants to create a close network of GCU alumni to help spread the Lope spirit! Dr. Price Wright encourages Houston Lopes to get involved, network and stay connected to their GCU roots.
The Seattle Lopes Alumni Chapter helps bring GCU alumni in the Seattle area together and works to expand the Lope community and network. Seattle Lopes benefit from an active community of GCU alumni who meet on a regular basis for family-friendly social events, networking opportunities and community outreach projects.

Nicholas Roberts graduated from GCU with his Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2013. He is currently earning his Master of Science in Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology through GCU. Nicholas is a passionate Lope and could not be more excited about connecting Seattle Lopes and creating a GCU community in the Seattle area.
