What is 2010 Homecoming Weekend?

Homecoming Weekend is the largest campus event of the year. Alumni from the University’s 60-year history are invited to join current students in a celebration of GCU, its heritage, and progression.

How do I register?

Make sure to submit your RSVP so we have you and your guests on our list. Registration begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 29 in the Student Union. Registration will stay open throughout the weekend. Visit the Registration area of this Web site for options and instructions.

Who is invited to attend?

All current GCU students and alumni, as well as family and friends are welcome to attend.

How much does it cost?

The fee is $25 per person. The fee will cover all planned festivities and meals on campus the entire weekend.

When do I pay?

You may pay the $25 fee by cash or check at the event registration on Friday, January 29. You may also pay in advance by mailing a check to:

Checks should be made payable to Grand Canyon University and indicate “Homecoming 2010” in the memo line. Include your email address and Alumni Relations will send you a receipt.

Visit the Travel Accommodations page for more information, including contacts for flights, car rentals, and hotels. We suggest that you make your reservations early.

What do I wear that weekend?

Show your pride with your favorite GCU gear or your purple and white clothes. Save room in your suitcase for your 2010 Homecoming shirt.

The average temperature for January 29-31 in Phoenix is high of 70 with an evening low of 47.

Is transportation provided?

A complimentary GCU fleet service will be active the entire weekend to provide transportation around the University. Please note: this is a free service and wait times may vary. Also consult with your hotel representative for information on shuttle service availability.

Can I obtain contact information for one of my former classmates?

Email your information and the name of the person you would like to reach to alumni@gcu.edu. We will forward your inquiry to that person. We cannot provide any personal information without approval.
