Franklin Kirimi 2009 Graduate, with a MBA degree in MBA Finance from the College of Business.
Why did you choose GCU?
Perhaps one of the most important decisions of my lifetime was to join Grand Canyon University in the spring of 2005 for my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management. I traveled more than 8,000 miles and 19 hours by air from Nairobi, Kenya to Phoenix. That is when my expedition at Grand Canyon University started being one of the most thrilling and eye opening experiences of my life! I liked the school for its location (heart of Phoenix), weather, friendly people, small classes, and wonderful online learning experiences. GCU has great professors who are always ready to help whenever and wherever, and they provide the quality of education that exactly applies to the demands of the outside world. I have witnessed a tremendous growth at GCU encompassing the ground campus and the online environment, which provides great benefits for the students and the community around. Because of its diversity, Grand Canyon University has attracted many students around the world, which is consistent with its mission of preparing learners to become global citizens. In sports, I have passion for running and a year later in 2006, GCU Cross country was introduced prompting me to join. I have been competing competitively from then until 2008. Last summer, I couldn't resist the opportunity to return for the MBA in Finance, which I will be finishing the summer of 2009. The most wonderful thing to me, after completing my MBA, is the continued connection with GCU through the GCU Alumni networking. They are devoted to keeping all the former schoolmates, classmates and friends connected throughout life, while providing numerous benefits and life enriching events. Once you step into GCU, you never step out the same! I will not be the same, and I cannot contemplate what an amazing transformation and a noble experience GCU has to offer.
